We asked:
1. Who do you recognize as the main character in this sequence?
2. How do you recognize this character as the main character.
3. Is this a advert or a scene from a film?
4. What part of the film do you think this scene is from?
5. What feeling did you encounter when watching this scene?
6. What genre do you recognize this sequence with?
7. What parts of the scene did you recognized with your chosen genre?
8. If you could change any part of this sequence, what would you change?
Our results were:
1. 45% of people said that they thought the girl was the main character. 55% said that they thoguht the killer was the main character.
2. The 45% of people said that the girl was the main part because of the time she was on camera, 55% said that the killer was main part because, he would appear more later on in the film.
3. 30% of people said that it looked like an advert, 70% said that it looked like a scene from the film.
4. 20% said that it looked like a middle part, 10% said it looked like an ending, 70% said that it looked like an opening scene.
5. 12% said humour, 38% said sadness and 50% said fear.
6. 60% said horror, 40% said thriller.
7. 100% said murder and weapons.
8. 35% said more appearances of the murderer, 45% more gore and blood, 20% said more killings.
From these results we can see that we achieved our aim to create a scary, horror film. We were pleased with our results and we took the ideas into acount and had a look at how we could have edited the seqeunce.
